Challenge
Users struggle with stress, but quick digital distractions don't provide real relief. A Kinder World needs an intuitive navigation structure paired with meaningful, reflective activities that support genuine relaxation and long-term mental well-being.
Overview
In this project, I worked on creating a new feature for an existing application, aiming to solve user pain points and deliver a smoother, more engaging experience.
Kinderworld — Bloom Board

"Through user interviews,
I uncovered key insights that guided my design decisions."

Interviews
Conducted three interviews, each around 15 minutes, to understand users’ relaxation habits, struggles, and motivations.
Online Research
Explored resources about the app and its developers, and reviewed user discussions on Reddit and Discord to identify common pain points and feedback.
Goals & Motivations
Many users want to relax by reflecting on their lives and planning for the future.
Habits & Activities
Users try different activities to feel comfortable and escape stress, but most are short-term solutions.
Struggles
Most interviewees find it difficult to truly relax, and their recent strategies have not been effective in reducing stress.
Barriers
Some users believe they can manage stress on their own and feel other activities are more helpful than playing the game.

Problem Statement
Many people struggle to relax and cope with stress, often relying on short-term activities that don’t truly help them recover. This issue is important because stress and ineffective coping strategies can negatively impact mental health and prevent users from finding meaningful relief. Our research showed that users—primarily young adults seeking comfort and emotional balance—often try different apps and activities but still feel unsatisfied. This problem exists in digital spaces, especially within relaxation or wellness apps, where users expect guidance but instead encounter unclear navigation or shallow activities.
We coming up with
Bloom Board
Why Bloom Board?
Combines self-expression, positivity, and social connection in one feature.
Encourages meaningful interactions without overwhelming screen time.
AI moderation ensures a safe, supportive environment.
Promotes long-term engagement and emotional reflection.
When the mailbox icon lights up, it indicates that someone has responded to your note.

This feature allows players to view notes shared by others and post their own directly to the board.
You can use this feature to write and decorate your notes with the prizes you’ve earned in Kinderworld!

This prototype was built in Figma following our planning and mockup process.
