The previous website lacked a clear information hierarchy and wasn’t optimized for mobile devices. The challenge was to redesign it into a responsive, user-friendly platform that effectively communicates the organization’s mission and engages its audience.

Led the end-to-end redesign of Artscape’s website, reimagined as Ousia — a responsive platform that fosters creativity, inclusivity, and community connection.

To help a social impact group better connect with its community, I redesigned its website to make it easier to navigate and look more welcoming. Because I couldn't interview users directly, I studied the original site and looked at successful art platforms to see what worked well. I found three main problems: confusing menus, poor mobile design, and a lack of visual storytelling. I used these findings to build a clear, mobile-friendly layout that highlights the group's mission and brings artists together.
Ousia comes from the Greek word for "essence." It represents the true spirit of creativity, belonging, and bringing people together.
The rebrand transforms Artscape into a warm, welcoming digital space where artists and audiences can share stories and collaborate.
Colors: Warm, earthy tones create a comfortable and open feel.
Shapes: Soft, round shapes represent community and inclusion.
Line Art: Flowing lines symbolize the connections between creative people.
Layout: A clean, mobile-friendly design keeps things easy to use while letting the artwork shine.
Altogether, Ousia creates an emotional, human connection that uses art to bridge people and ideas.

Warm terracottas, muted beiges, and soft neutrals bring a welcoming, creative feel to the design. Clean whites and subtle grays keep the layout balanced, easy to read, and accessible.
